Medearis MD Dixson, one time Music Polaris Award Winner, and one time Grammy Award winner plays with the sophistication and maturity of a jazz artist twice his age. Making his presence known already amidst the top Seattle Jazz/R&B musicians, Dixson has shared the stage with Daren Motamedy, Andrew Gouche, Jerry “Kokane” Long, Tendai Maraire of Shabazz palaces, Roy Hargrove, David Sanborn, Branford Marsalis Quartet, Owar Arunga, Liv Warfield, Duffy Bishop, among many others. Medearis has performed at some of the most illustrious performance centers Such as Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center. With all of these accolades he still remains a humble musician who gives all his glory to God.

Shay Huff

Shay Huff is a self-exploration facilitator, sound bath practitioner, breathwork guide, and yoga instructor whose work centers embodiment, nervous system regulation, and deep listening. Since 2016, she has supported people in reconnecting with themselves through breath, sound, mindful movement, and meditation.
Shay approaches healing as nonlinear and deeply human — a process that unfolds when we meet ourselves with compassion and curiosity. The practices she offers are not saviors, but companions: pathways for softening, sensing, and returning home to what is already whole within the body.
In Portals: Nectar — Tulsi, Shay’s facilitation creates a grounded, spacious container where sound and breath gently guide participants into presence and embodied awareness.

JusJada is a Seattle vocalist who lets the music take her on a journey. From gospel choirs to main stages, her voice is a force – soulful, raw, and transformative. Whether she's headlining Seattle Pride or bringing the house down at MoPop (where it all began!), JusJada's shows are an immersive experience. Think electric energy, heartfelt lyrics, and a whole lot of soul. With influences from Mary Mary to Erykah Badu, her sound is medicine, motivation, and magic. Lamar is a Seattle-based drummer whose foundation was built in the church and refined through the soul of R&B. Raised in an environment where music was ministry and rhythm was sacred, he developed not just technical skill, but spiritual sensitivity behind the kit.

With deep gospel roots, Lamar understands the power of dynamics — when to be explosive, when to sit in the pocket, and when to let the moment breathe. His style bridges sanctuary and stage, merging the passion of gospel with the soul of contemporary R&B. Through live performance and creative drum content, Lamar continues to build a sound that is both rooted and relevant — honoring where he came from while pushing toward where he’s going.

Christopher Harris is a Drummer and Musician from Seattle, WA. Throughout his musical journey, Christopher has performed at some of the city’s most iconic venues and festivals, including the Moore Theatre, Capitol Hill Block Party, Sundiata Festival, and Thing Festival. His studio credits include recording at world-class facilities such as Robert Lang Studios, London Bridge Studio, Mob Studios, and Studio Litho.

Christopher has worked with and accompanied a wide range of artists, including E. Pruitt, Darren Motamedy, Robert Glasper, Kylie Nelson, Tiffany Wilson, Chance McKinney, Klyntel, and Randy Campbell, as well as other notable names across jazz, R&B, gospel, funk, soul, and Latin music. Known for his versatility, precision, and dynamic groove, he continues to bring both creative artistry and technical excellence to every performance.

Craigzilla is a Seattle-based keyboardist known for bringing deep groove, harmonic richness, and classic soul sensibilities to modern music settings. Drawing inspiration from artists like Earth, Wind & Fire, the Isley Brothers, Stevie Wonder, and the broader Motown tradition, his playing blends rhythmic precision with expressive, song-forward musicianship. His work emphasizes feel, pocket, and melodic clarity, rooted in the lineage of funk, R&B, and soul.

As a versatile performer and collaborator, Craigzilla adapts seamlessly across live and studio environments, supporting artists with tasteful textures, dynamic arrangements, and an instinctive understanding of ensemble playing. Whether anchoring a rhythm section or adding color and movement from the keys, he approaches every project with professionalism, musical curiosity, and respect for the groove.

Demarcus Baysmore is an engaging and talented Guitarist from Texas who moved to the PNW in December 2019. Playing for over fourteen years, he dabbles in an eclectic assortment of music styles but is best known for his jazz, blues, and funk stylings. Demarcus has multiple years of formal music training, has toured as a Navy Guitarist, and has played venues both large and small with a wide variety of talented musicians throughout his career. He aims to inspire creativity in not only listeners but also fellow musicians through his music.

To watch Seattle percussionist, Conrad Real, work the drum kit is to experience your own eyes bulging. Real, who performs regularly with the Grammy-winning hip-hop trio, Digable Planets, as well as with the beloved Emerald City funk quartet, Down North, is known by many around his hometown as “Superman,” both for the sculpted physique under his blue t-shirt and for the locomotive-paced, laser beam-precise playing he brings to prominent shows.Today, Real continues to collaborate with significant musical cats. He’s shared stages with Dominique Hammons, Kokane,Tom Browne, Andrew Gouche, Kamasi Washington, Noel Gourdin, Eric McFadden, Dexter Allen, Victor Little, Kalimba, Ayron Jones, Billy Branch, Federico Malaman, Hadrian Feraud, The Temptations' G.C. Cameron and many others.

Juan Salinas is a Seattle-based bassist from Highland Park, Los Angeles, recognized for his versatility, deep pocket, and expressive musicality. He has performed on Telemundo and other Latin television and radio platforms, and remains an active presence in the Pacific Northwest music scene, gigging frequently with local artists across funk, hip-hop, jazz, reggae, and beyond. An in-demand session musician, Juan brings precision, adaptability, and strong musical instincts to both live and studio settings, crafting bass lines that are intentional, dynamic, and built to serve the song.

Andrew is a cellist trained through the Tacoma Youth Symphony, bringing a strong classical foundation into intuitive, emotionally resonant performance.
His cello playing bridges structure and improvisation, using the instrument’s deep, grounding voice to support reflection, nervous system settling, and somatic listening. In Portals: Nectar — Tulsi, Andrew’s live cello weaves through the soundscape as a living presence — inviting softness, release, and internal spaciousness.
Andrew approaches music not as accompaniment, but as a relational force that moves through the body and shapes the moment.
